What is a Paver?

Pavers can be used for driveways, patios and walkways. They are made up of uniformly shaped units placed over a sand bed and compacted aggregate base. These can be colored and stamped to create interesting patterns or even textured to look like bricks or stone. Pavers do not require as much maintenance as other types of surfaces.

Types of Paver

Concrete: Concrete pavers are easy to install, durable, and easy to maintain. They can be used for driveways, walkways, patios, pool decks, outdoor living areas and more. Depending on what look you're after and the conditions where you plan to install them, you'll have a number of options when it comes to color, size, shape and even substrate material.

  • Clay: Clay pavers are made from high quality ceramic shale. Because these pavers are formed then fired at high temperatures, they become a strong, heat, and water-resistant product with traditional appeal. This natural paver offers a design that fits many different styles of landscapes, whether it be a designer pool deck or simple patio at home.

  • Old Chicago Brick: This form of paver is actual clay brick reclaimed from turn-of-the-century buildings in cities like Chicago and Detroit. The unique texture of each brick is a nod to the history of these metropolises. The subtle color variations provide a traditional aesthetic that’s perfect for an urbanite with an eye for detail.

  • Marble and Travertine: Marble and Travertine are natural stones, not formed in a factory. No two pieces of marble or travertine are alike. Veining is a natural characteristic of the material. Marble and travertine are used in residential, commercial and industrial applications. These stones have been used for thousands of years because they're durable and easy to clean.
